Chelsea are reportedly making contact with players’ agents as they plan for a busy January transfer window in the hope that their current ban is lifted, as the the Blues expect the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to cut short their transfer ban, which was imposed by FIFA in February.
It will mean that Lampard will be able to delve into the clubs transfer kitty and add a few players to the squad that will add some experience, and quality in the right areas of the pitch.
And one man that could be signed by Chelsea is that of Marwuinhos.
Marquinhos was tipped to become one of the best centre-backs in the world from a very young age and Paris Saint-Germain didn’t hesitate to splash €31 million on a teenager back in 2013.
Since then he has managed to win 18 trophies with PSG and has become one of the most prominent figures at the club, despite his young years.
The Brazilian centre-back has got immense quality on the ball and although The Brazilian is not as tall as some of the other centre-backs in the world, he still manages to win 2 aerial duels per game across all competitions for PSG.
Chelsea are at that stage where they need world class players, and although Marquinhos is not quite there, he is a top-class player THAT WOULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE to this Chelsea back-line.
Lampard does need to sign some big time players that have experience winning trophies on a regular basis, and he will need to spend big money on players like Marquinhos if he wants to challenge for both the Champions League title and Premier League title in the coming seasons.
So it will be interesting to see whom he makes a move for in January if he is able to sign players.
